Upright Meaning
Joy, harmony, and a sense of belonging. Wunjo marks the fulfillment of a cycle — the first aett's journey from wealth (Fehu) through struggle and growth arrives at genuine happiness. This is not escapist pleasure but the deep satisfaction of things being right. Relationships harmonize, work feels meaningful, and the clan (however you define it) is at peace.
Reversed Meaning
Alienation, sorrow, or false joy. Happiness is superficial or unsustainable. You may be performing contentment while feeling empty inside, or genuine joy is being undermined by unresolved conflict. Reversed Wunjo asks whether your happiness is real or whether you are settling for comfort because the pursuit of genuine fulfillment feels too risky.
